We recognise that to be entrusted to deliver a quality Islamic education to the children within our
community by their parents is a great privilege and responsibility before Allah. Upon graduation
from the Makki Masjid madrasah all students will have been taught to:
- Read Qur’anic Arabic with tajweed (correct pronunciations)
- Perform the five daily prayers correctly
- Perform wudu (ablution) correctly
- Recite 37 surah of the Holy Qur’an from memory
- Relate 20 hadith of the prophet Muhammad (SAW)

What is the teaching environment like?
Classes are structured based on 20 .
Whilst the classes are taught in a classical madrasah environment in keeping with our Islamic
tradition and heritage, we also make use of online resources, projectors to
support pupils’ learning.
Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 20 to ensure that teachers are able to provide each pupil
with the attention and learning support they need.
Pupils are taught in gender segregated classes by teachers of their own gender.
How is learning progression monitored and fed back to parents?
The best learning outcomes for our pupils can only be achieved with the active support of their
parents. Therefore we aim to work closely with them to communicate individual pupil’s progress
and challenges.
How much does it cost to enrol a pupil into the madrasah?
It is our passionate belief that access to a quality Islamic education is not the reserve of those who
can afford it, but the right of all Muslims within our community. We also understand that for some
families, the cost of sending multiple children to madrasah can add up.
In order to try to deliver quality education in a way that is not prohibitive to parents we have
devised the following fee scale that caps the maximum amount each family has to pay regardless of
the number of children they enrol into the madrasah:

Ultimately, our primary duty is to ensure that all who need it, have access to a quality Islamic
education. If parents have concerns about fees, please contact Maulana Mohammed for a completely
confidential discussion on 07404 961878.
